Dr Michael Dally is an experienced radiation oncologist and clinical researcher at Icon Cancer Centre Richmond. He was the first in Victoria to develop stereotactic irradiation at the Alfred Hospital, affiliated with Monash University in 1996. In addition to an interest in clinical trials and quality of life, he has taught stereotactic radiosurgery for benign, malignant and functional CNS conditions through the BrainlabAG teaching academy in Australia, Asia and Europe. He has been an invited guest speaker in China, Korea, Malaysia and India as well as for the Neurosurgery Society of Australia. Dr Dally has also been part of the neurosurgical trainee (SET) faculty on a number of occasions.

He is the principal investigator for SHRINC – a phase II study of Stereotactic Hypofractionated Stereotactic Radiosurgery Including Neurological and Cognitive assessment and is currently investigating radiosurgery for Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor. In February 2022 Dr Michael Dally retired from clinical practice although he remains involved in neuro-oncology research at Icon.
