Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Michael moved to the Gold Coast in 2012 to complete his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at Griffith University, where he quickly fell in love with the region’s beaches, hinterland and lifestyle.
Michael adores living in Tweed with his wife and two young kids, spending his spare time with them enjoying the local beaches, creeks and parklands. He is slowly learning to surf, with minor successes at Snapper and Greenmount.
Prior to medicine, Michael worked as a scientist in Sleep Medicine in Perth, completing a graduate diploma of sleep science.
Since completing internship and residency at major tertiary hospitals, Michael went on to spend the majority if 2018 in Emergency Medicine at The Tweed Hospital.
Michael is excited to join the Tweed Health for Everyone team in 2019. Employing his zest for all aspects of General Practice he is eager to improve the health and wellbeing of you and your family throughout all stages of life.
