Michael grew up in Horsham in Western Victoria, moving to Melbourne to study medicine at The University of Melbourne, graduating in 2005. After spending six months at the Royal Women's Hospital, he discovered a passion for the challenges and rewards of obstetrics and gynaecology and began his training in 2009, the first four years of which he completed through the Royal Women's Hospital and also twelve months in Warrnambool.

Michael was delighted to join Russell, Michael and Katrina at the beginning of 2013 for the final two years of his fellowship and enjoys all aspects of the practice. Michael considers it a great privilege to assist women throughout their pregnancy and delivery and to be present and share with families one of life's most significant events.

He values the ability to care for women in all aspects of their reproductive health and has an interest in obstetrics, laparoscopic surgery, infertility, colposcopy and pelvic floor surgery, and is currently involved in providing these services through St John of God and the Base in Ballarat, as well as Stawell District Hospital, Ararat District Hospital, Maryborough Regional Hospital and Kyneton Hospital.
