Dr Melissa Yang completed her basic physician training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne, where she established her interest in the diagnosis and early management of lung cancer. She went on to work at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where she developed specialist skills in endobronchial ultrasound techniques, bronchoscopy, pleural ultrasound and management of non-invasive ventilation. She completed her training at the Western Hospital, and in 2015 she became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She sees patients with all types of respiratory conditions, with a special interest in COPD, lung cancer and sleep medicine. Currently, Dr Yang works in the Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at the Western Hospital, as well as at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. Privately, she consults with Western Respiratory and Sleep Clinic in Niddrie, Werribee, and Sydenham.
