Dr Melissa Lee (Endocrinologist)

Dr Melissa Lee graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2010. She completed specialist training in Endocrinology at St Vincent’s Hospital and Monash Hospital. Dr Lee is currently undertaking a PhD at St Vincent’s Hospital in the area of Type 1 Diabetes. Her focus is on hypoglycaemia and strategies to restore hypoglycaemia awareness, and the application of new technologies, including closed-loop insulin pump systems, in the management of Type 1 Diabetes. She is a recipient of the NHMRC Postgraduate Scholarship, co-funded by Diabetes Australia. Dr Lee also works as an endocrinologist at St Vincent’s Hospital and Werribee Mercy Hospital. She is employed by the University of Melbourne as a lecturer and tutor for medical students at St Vincent’s Hospital Clinical School. Dr Lee welcomes referrals in all aspects of diabetes and endocrinology. She has a special interest in Type 1 Diabetes and diabetes technology including insulin pump therapy
