Dr Melisa Hudson knows both the needs of the local community and health services available as she has lived and worked in the area for several years. Melisa completed her Medical degree at the University of Adelaide in 1999 and subsequently trained at various hospitals in Adelaide and Melbourne before becoming a GP. She has also worked in Aboriginal Health in the Kimberleys.
Melisa has a keen interest in Family Medicine, in particular Women’s and Children’s Health, Preventative, Travel and Tropical medicine. She is due to complete a Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine at James Cook University this year. Melisa also currently works at Sacred Heart Mission and Hanover House with Inner South Community Health Service. In her free time, Melisa enjoys traveling with her husband, reading, walking her dog Reagan, cycling and playing squash.
Currently on extended leave and due to return to the clinic mid 2016
