Megan has been actively engaged in pain management her entire professional life. She is a Specialist Pain Medicine Physician (FFPMANZCA), but her experience in working with patients who suffer from pain began in her earliest days working as a physiotherapist.
Megan’s first medical specialty is general practice and she holds an FRACGP. In general practice she continued her special interest in pain with her patients through her work in musculoskeletal medicine.
Megan’s experience in general practice has given her a wealth of knowledge on a broad range of health conditions: she has worked with all patient groups, from the very young to the elderly, and in a variety of settings.
Megan’s passion for education is demonstrated by involvement in teaching general-practice trainees, and by her position as a peer reviewer for Australian Family Physician Journal. What’s most important to Megan, though, is educating her patients and helping them to understand their pain.
Megan especially enjoys working with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, who work with her to achieve the best possible outcomes for her patients.
