Training: 1972: Intern at Bendigo Base Hospital, including 3 months in anaesthesia and casualty 1973: Resident at Royal Hobart Hospital, including 4 months in anaesthesia 1974: Anaesthetic Registrar at the Auckland and National Women's Hospital, NZ 1975: Travelling overseas and locums in General Practice 1976: Locums in General Practice and Anaesthetic Registrar at Prince Henry's Hospital 1977: Anaesthetic Registrar at Prince Henry's and Dandenong Hospitals 1978: Anaesthetic Registrar at Royal Children's and Women's Hospitals 1979: Anaesthetic Registrar at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne

  Qualified as a specialist anaesthetist in 1979.   Worked in public teaching hospitals: Prince Henry's and Western Hospitals (until 1990).   Joined the Albert Street Anaesthetic Group in 1988.   Areas of interest: Mainly in orthopaedic surgery but also in general surgery, plastic/cosmetic surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery and endoscopic procedures.
