Dr Matt Smith graduated from the University of Queensland and undertook the majority of his training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH).
He is currently a part time staff specialist at RBWH and a VMO at Mater Mothers' Private Brisbane and Mater Private Hospital Springfield.
Matt is a RANZCOG Training Supervisor and the Lead Consultant for Education at RBWH. He is a Senior lecturer at The University of Queensland School of Medicine and has research interests in Exosomes as biomarkers in PET, GDM and endometriosis as well as in making emergency caesarean sections safer.
Matt has expertise in high risk pregnancy, medical disorders in pregnancy and advanced laparoscopy including endometriosis and laparoscopic hysterectomy.
