Dr Duncan studied Medicine at St Andrews University Scotland and Manchester University England graduating as a doctor in 1990. Following his relocation to Australia in 1993, he trained in Anaesthesia at the Royal Brisbane Hospital qualifying as a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2001.

As specialist anaesthetist at Wesley Anaesthesia and Pain Management Dr Duncan enjoys practicing in a wide range of specialised areas of anaesthesia, these include anaesthetising for major procedures such as bariatric (obesity) surgery, spine surgery and vascular surgery and also day procedures such as eye surgery and oral-maxillofacial surgery. He also has an interest in difficult airways management and training in effective crisis managment.
