Dr Crilly was one of the first cohort of Western Sydney University students to study and graduate from the Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program. After graduating, Matt was the highest scoring candidate in NSW and the ACT for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Fellowship – the practical exam that qualifies doctors to specialise as GPs. For scoring top marks, Matt was awarded the prestigious Tony Buhagiar Memorial Medal. He grew up in Macarthur and still lives in the local area. When Matt first began studying his Medical degree, his ultimate ambition was to become a Paediatrician – and his passion for working with children remains with him, in his role as a GP.
