For Dr Martin D’Arcy-Evans, the novelty of the birth of a baby has never worn off. And as for women’s general health, he derives genuine satisfaction when a successful treatment results in a patient’s life-changing improvement in well-being. In private practice for over nine years based at North West Private Hospital, Dr D’Arcy-Evans was previously a busy senior specialist in the public hospital system at Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospitals. His work included supervising the training of junior specialists. He aims to always strive to help women of all ages achieve their best health outcomes by following best modern practice and recognising that medical knowledge is constantly evolving and improving. He is known for his ability to listen to and empower patients (and their families) in treatment decisions.

Dr D’Arcy-Evans says: “I always ask myself in medical care: ‘Can I find ways to improve on what I’m doing?’” He believes in providing a personal service to every patient, understanding her feelings, needs and expectations.

He has been married for 33 years to wife Lindy, having met while working at the same hospital, Lindy as a midwife and he as a junior doctor. They have a daughter, Elaine and three wonderful grandchildren. Aside from doting on his family, Dr D’Arcy-Evans enjoys touring and caravanning, reading thrillers and historical novels, cooking and listening to music. He has over 2,000 songs on his iPod!
