Dr Mark Pitney graduated from UNSW with honours is 1984. After completing his specialise training in Cardiology he underwent further advanced training in Interventional Cardiology. Since that time he has remained a high volume angioplasty operator and has been a faculty member of numerous national and International meetings. He continues to have a keen interest in new stent designs and devices. Dr Pitney is currently the Clinical Director of Sutherland Heart Clinic, in addition to being the Network Director of Cardiology at both Sutherland and St George Hospital, Mark is also director of Eastern Heart Clinic at Prince of Wales Hospital. Dr Pitney consults at Cardiology Associates, and is also a Conjoint Lecturer at University of NSW.

Continuing Education/Teaching/Research: Dr Pitney is involved in teaching junior doctors and continues to take part in research to improve treatment and technology for Cardiac patients. He participates in national and international Cardiology meetings as a presenter and Faculty Member.
