GP Obstetrician Dr Mark Farrugia is a popular, experienced general practitioner with a special interest in women’s health. He enjoys men’s health too.
Before becoming a doctor, he was a chiropractor and naturopath.
Mark holds an advanced diploma in obstetrics and a diploma in child health. Now delivering babies at Kyneton District Hospital, he says local women often feel more relaxed and in control giving birth at Kyneton than at busy city hospitals.
Mark, born at Bacchus Marsh hospital, has a solid background working in rural areas. He also delivers babies at Geelong and Sunshine Hospitals.
Healthy women experiencing a normal pregnancy can deliver in a supportive, personal environment close to home at KDH, with medical services on hand if required, Mark says.
Mark recently married Kirby Jefferies from Castlemaine. He enjoys bushwalking and triathlons.
