Mark graduated from the University of Adelaide with his BDS in 1992 and completed his medical degree in 2000 at the University of Melbourne. Following his surgical training in Melbourne he received his FRACDS (OMS) in 2004. Mark comes with a Stryker Fellowship in Trauma, which he completed in Glasgow in 2005 and he returned to take up public consultancies at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Western Hospital. Mark is also active in research having published a randomised controlled clinical trial on “Avoiding Palatal Anaesthesia in the Conscious Patient for Removal of Third Molars” in the International Journal of oral and maxillofacial surgery and is currently developing a study of “Outcomes Following Mandibular Third Molar Removal Without Sutures”. Mark received advanced training in orthognathic surgery and maxillofacial trauma and is heavily involved in postgraduate teaching of these at his public appointments. Mark has developed a strong interest in complex implant rehabilitation, including bone grafting and full arch immediate loading.
