Mario joined Radiation Oncology Victoria in January 2004 having worked as a Staff Specialist previously at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and The Alfred. He obtained his Specialty degree in 2002, having achieved the prestigious Kaye Scott prize in Radiation Oncology for his performance.
His areas of clinical expertise are in breast cancer, the treatment of pelvic malignancies (prostate and rectal cancers) and thoracic tumours. He is actively involved in the brachytherapy program treating prostate cancers at Western Private Hospital, Ringwood Private Hospital and other south eastern hospitals. Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) are offered at all ROV treatment centres.
Mario provides inpatient care at Western Private, Ringwood Private and Freemasons Hospitals.
