Dr Maria Pizzinga (GP)

Dr Maria Pizzinga graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Medicine (Honours) in 2003 and was the recipient of the Blackwell Science Prize for medicine in her final year.

Her intern and residency years were spent at Concord Repatriation General Hospital in Sydney and she worked as a medical registrar at the Canberra Hospital in 2006.

Dr Pizzinga commenced specialist general practice training in 2007 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of general Practitioners in 2011.

Dr Pizzinga was a clinical editor at Medical Observer in 2012-2013 and has done freelance work for the myDr website. Dr Pizzinga enjoys the challenges and varied work involved in general practice as well as working with specialists, nurses and allied health in providing thorough care to patients
