Dr Margaret Hall can diagnose and assist with the treatment of a broad range of medical conditions. Her special interests include women’s health, paediatrics and antenatal care. Her care is holistic and long-term and often spans multiple generations of the same family. She takes great pleasure in seeing children grow to become adults and then supporting them through life and, for some, as they raise their own families. As a young child, Dr Hall set her sights on following in an aunt’s footsteps and becoming a nurse. When a primary school teacher told her that women could become doctors too she developed a new ambition.

Dr Hall completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Queensland in 1994 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2000. She spent three years working at the Gold Coast Hospital in a broad range of roles before moving to Beaudesert and into general practice. What was to be a short stay in the country turned into 15 years because of the joy and satisfaction that were her reward for serving the welcoming and friendly rural community.

As a mother to two children, and being aware of their changing needs as they grew, Dr Hall and her husband moved their work to Brisbane in 2012. Her family remains her focus when she’s not working. In her spare time she also enjoys reading, crafts and walking to stay fit.
