Dr Maree Patane graduated from the University of Queensland in 1984. Maree spent 2 years working at the RBWH, followed by 1 year working as a locum medical officer in hospitals in the UK. When she returned to Australia, she worked at the Repatriation Hospital at Greenslopes before entering General Practice in 1989. She has held fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners for 25 years.
More recently, Maree worked at a Brisbane CBD practice, and clinics on the Gold Coast, New Farm and Ascot. She has experience working in student health at Griffith University Gold Coast campus and working in sexual and reproductive health for the Family Planning organisation in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
Maree enjoys working together with patients to live well at all stages and phases of life. Her areas of particular interest are preventative health care, women’s health, and mental health.
