Luay is a non-interventional Cardiologist who obtained his medical degree in Iraq and then moved to New Zealand where he did the majority of his clinical training, working at various institutions in the country including Auckland and Middlemore Hospitals.
He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011.
He then moved to Adelaide to undertake a Fellowship in Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT Coronary Angiography at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Following his advanced cardiology training.
He has a special interest in non-invasive imaging of the heart, planning to further develop his interest in cardiac imaging, primary prevention of heart disease, the management of ischaemic heart disease and the treatment of heart failure.
