I was born in the former Yugoslavia - Croatia and finished medical school there in 1982.

I worked in Croatia for 10 years as a GP before leaving in 1993 with my husband and two children during the war. After I arrived in Australia I commenced the long process of first, studying English then preparing for the Australian Medical Council examinations.

My first Australian work experience began in 1999 at Warragul Hospital for one year, followed by Frankston Hospital for the following three years. During that period I was also worked at the Peter Mac Hospital and in the rehabilitation hospitals – Kingston Centre and Rosebud.

In 2003 I commenced the General Practice program which involved working at different GP clinics including six months in a country clinic.

I became a Fellow of the RACGP in 2004.

I began working at Thompson Road Clinic in March 2006.

I mostly enjoy working with children and women’s health.

In my free time, which I admit I do not have a lot of, I enjoy walking on the beach, spending time with my family and friends and travelling.

I also speak Serbo-Croatian.
