Dr Lea Crisante is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist who has worked in private practice and in-patient and community-based child, adolescent and adult mental health services for many years.
She has extensive experience dealing with mood and anxiety disorders and is currently part of the Westmead Program for Complex Trauma. She has a particular interest in child and adolescent mental health, completed her PhD on child behavioural interventions and is a highly skilled family therapist.
In addition, Lea has extensive experience using the Cool Kids Anxiety program for children and adolescents and the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) to assist parents with concerns about their children. Lea has also worked in the field of relationship counselling including 10 years as a senior manager at Relationships Australia. She is particularly interested in working with couples affected by mental health issues including post-natal depression and early childhood trauma.
Lea is experienced in using interventions based on CBT, Attachment and Systems Theory, Interpersonal Therapy and Integrative Couple Therapy (Dr John Gottman). Lea enjoys working in innovative services, has presented many papers and workshops in Australia and overseas and is an Associate of the Master of Psychotherapy program, University of Sydney.
