How long have I worked in Mental Health?............ 15 Years
Mental Health Experience............ I have gained experience in both the public (Child and Adolescent Mental Heaelth Service) and in private mental health sectors in Regional Victoria. I first started working at Cornerstone Psychology in 2009.
Who do I treat?............ Children, adolescents, and adults
Areas of expertise............ Depression, anxiety and trauma, sleep, parenting, childhood emotional and behavioural difficulties, attention deficit/hyperactivity, and adjustment to change in life circumstances.
My therapy style............ I work from an evidence-based, holistic perspective that aims to (1) encourage, and build upon, adaptive coping styles and character strengths, (2) enhance engagement in meaningful relationships, and (3) strengthen satisfaction with life. I draw upon principles from a range of treatment approaches have have received empirical support such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
