After completing her general surgical training through Royal North Shore Hospital and Northern Sydney Area health Service she took up a position in the United Kingdom as the Clinical Research Fellow in Breast and Oncoplastic Surgery in Guildford, Surrey, the centre which established the National Breast Screening Programme for the UK. She spent the next two years gaining specialist experience in innovative and established techniques in breast surgery and performing research into sentinel lymph node biopsy.
Kylie operates regularly at the Mater Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital. She also works as a VMO at Northern Breast Screen. Kylie is a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Sydney and is a member of Breast SurgANZ, the Australasian Society of Breast Disease and the ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group. She regularly participates in breast cancer education for medical professionals, patient groups and the broader community. Her special interests include oncoplastic breast surgery and intraoperative analysis of sentinel lymph nodes. As well as the Poche Centre, Kylie also consults at rooms in Hornsby on a fortnightly basis.
