Dr Johnston studied in Brisbane and Toowoomba, graduating from The University of Queensland in 2013. He spent his junior years working in the Toowoomba Hospital. He also has experience as a medical officer at the Oakey Hospital. In 2018 he received his fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
While undertaking his GP training and since completing his fellowship he has been working in GP clinics in Toowoomba and Oakey before joining Village Medical Centre to be closer to home and family. Dr Johnston enjoys teaching medical students and registrars. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family, playing cello, and playing hockey.
Dr Johnston sees all patients and has a special interest in the management of chronic disease, child and adolescent health, and skin cancer medicine.
