A/Professor Kurosh Parsi (Sydney Phlebologist / Vein Specialist), FACD, FACP is a dermatologist, phlebologist and vascular anomalies (birthmarks) specialist. He is a medical graduate of the University of Sydney and obtained his Master of Science in Medicine degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). A/Professor Kurosh Parsi (Sydney Phlebologist / Vein Specialist)’s basic science research has focused on the basic properties of detergent sclerosants and in particular their interaction with coagulation, antithrombotic and fibrinolytic mechanisms. This work is done in affiliation with the Department of Haematology, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. His clinical research in phlebology has focused on deep vein sclerosis and ‘sclerothrombus’ as well as traveller’s thrombosis. His research in dermatology has been on pigmented purpuric dermatoses (PPD), vascular malformations and reticulate eruptions.
