Dr Tan joined the Medical Centre in Apr 2016. He graduated from The University of New South Wales and has completed his internship at Wollongong Hospital. He then went back to his home country Malaysia where he had worked as a general practitioner for many years. He subsequently moved back to Australia and worked in the Blue Mountains area since 2011 as a general practitioner. He obtained a postgraduate degree in General Practice as a fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2015.
His special interests include skin cancer check and general medicine. He is competent to perform surgical procedures including insertion and removal of Implanon, wound suturing, removal of skin cancer/cyst/lump etc.
Dr Tan is also fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and some other Chinese dialects.
