Dr Kimberley Prince is a general surgeon with special interest in breast cancer surgery with post fellowship training in Oncoplastic breast surgical techniques including theraputic mammaplasty and skin sparing mastectomy as part of breast reconstruction.
Obtaining her fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Rural Surgery fellowship, with Paediatric Surgery training at Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne and founding member of Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand.
Kim was the first female general surgeon to be appointed as a VMO at Barwon Health (now University Hospital – Geelong) providing general paediatric surgical skills and over 15 years experience in neonatal and childhood hernia surgery, orchidopexy, circumcision & management of acute abdominal surgical conditions such as pyloric stenosis, appendicitis and intussuception. Her private practice based in St John of God Geelong Hospital has a focus on breast cancer and general paediatric surgery.
Kim is a Breastscreen surgeon and member of BSWRICS mulidisciplinary team, Honorary Clinical Director of Paediatric Surgery Barwon Health, creating liaison between Visiting Specialist Paediatric surgeons from RCH and Regional General Surgeons. Clinical Tutor - Deakin University, teaching undergraduate medical students and creating course materials in breast and paediatric surgery.
