Dr Kim Wong is an experienced Nephrologist who lives and practices locally on the Mornington Peninsula.
Kim obtained his medical degree from the University of NSW in 1981 and completed training as a Nephrologist in New Zealand, Scotland and Singapore under the auspices of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
With over 18 years of clinical experience working as a Nephrologist, he was appointed Head of Nephrology, Deputy Director of Medicine and General Physician at Peninsula Health in 2011, where he has since been focused on improving the region’s public renal services, including acute dialysis, chronic peritoneal and haemodialysis, CKD clinics and patient education services.
Kim is a committee member of the Mornington Peninsula GP Clinical Governance Committee and is currently involved in creating the Map of Medicine for local GPs. He is also the Clinical Leader in IT for Peninsula Health and actively involved with the e-Alliance IT project to create better connectivity with general practitioners on the Mornington Peninsula. He was elected as the Deputy Chair of the Senior Medical Staff Association in 2012 and hopes to encourage a strong local medical community.
