I have been a fully qualified GP for over 9 years now, and that means that I am now reflecting on how time flies whilst having fun in my vocation. I originally qualified as a junior doctor from the University of Birmingham, UK in 2004. I came to South Australia in January 2014 serving the wonderful Southern Fleurieu and our great local communities. I like to think I am a dynamic, imaginative and caring General Practitioner, striving for excellence in patient care and community medicine. I’m passionate about team work, great communication and most importantly the patient experience, which includes continuity of care and my patients feeling valued that they have had the time with me they need. I like to preserve the very best of General Practice whilst embracing new developments. I am interested in whole patient care across the broad general practice area, including general medicine and complex health needs particularly of older (though young at heart) persons, musculoskeletal medicine and children’s health. I strive to be a good generalist. I am trained in medical education and research and I am interested in ensuring the next generation of doctors are there to treat us when I am too old and long in the tooth! I am excited to be involved at The Rowley Road Clinic and to continue serving our local community in the Southern Fleurieu. I will continue to see patients at local nursing homes and admit patients to McLaren Vale War Memorial hospital. In what little spare time I have I enjoy travel, ski-ing, and playing my flute to the tune of the pied piper, and walking on Moana Beach.
