Dr Chow is a general endocrinologist with an interest in Type 1 and 2 Diabetes and thyroid disorders. She also manages Bone Disorders, Steroid, Adrenal, and Pituitary Disorders. She also enjoys managing Obesity and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Dr Chow has a monthly rural and indigenous clinic in Dubbo. Dr Chow attended medical school at the University of New South Wales. Her basic and initial advanced training was at The Canberra Hospital. She completed her advanced training in Endocrinology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Camperdown. She was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2012. Dr Chow was the medical project officer for the 2010 NHMRC Clinical Guidelines for type 1 diabetes. She has since undertaken research into behavioural change techniques, digital communication and wearable and mobile technologies for exercise adherence and weight management with the Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney. Dr Chow has experience in the multidisciplinary care of patients with obesity and peri operative medical management prior to bariatric surgery. Dr Chow prioritises prompt and effective communication with patients and referring doctors. She is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia, The Australian Diabetes Association and the Australia and New Zealand Obesity Society.
