My working life has been an enriching and inspiring journey through several countries and meeting a lot of remarkable people across international and ethnic boundaries.

Having completed my training in Zimbabwe I gained extensive experience in managing acute Orthopaedics and Trauma patients at the prestigious King Fahad Hospital in Saudi Arabia, a Level 4 Trauma Centre. I became the Chief Resident of the Department and worked there for six years.

Back in Zimbabwe I completed my Membership of the College of Primary Care Physicians and commenced work as the Deputy Head of the Accident and Emergency Department at the University Hospital in Harare finally becoming the Head of Department.

I continued at this position for six years when I was offered a position as Senior Registrar/Acting Consultant at the Department of Accident and Emergency Medicine at the University Hospital in Muscat, Oman, another centre of excellence in the region. Apart from Clinical work I was involved in teaching both at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. During this time I completed a Master’s Degree in Disaster Medicine and was awarded the degree of European Master in Disaster Medicine by the University of Brussels. I have attended a number of International Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine Conferences as participant, invited speaker, moderator and chair and organized the First International Emergency and Disaster Medicine conference in Oman.

From Oman we migrated to Canada but the warm, welcoming weather in Australia beckoned us and we decided to move to country Australia. This gave me the opportunity to pursue general practice and Emergency medicine at the local hospital and also complete my Fellowship of the RACGP. I found my stay there very rewarding and ended up living there for ten years, finally making the move to Priority Care Medical.

My areas of clinical interests are adult and pediatric medicine, musculoskeletal conditions, pain management, mental health and performing surgery under local anaesthetics. I enjoy travelling, reading, listening to music and really love cricket!
