Dr Xu graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medical Science in 2007 before attending medical school at Monash University. She graduated from medical school in 2011 and underwent her physician training at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney. Following physician training, Dr Xu underwent specialist training in medical oncology through The Kinghorn Cancer Centre, Macarthur Cancer Centre and was a fellow at the Melanoma Institute of Australia. She completed her specialty training and was admitted to the fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2020 and then moved to Albury in 2021.
Throughout her training, Dr Xu gained considerable experience in specialist breast cancer and melanoma clinics, and in managing patients on clinical trials. She is currently undergoing a Masters in Biostatistics through the University of Sydney. Dr Xu treats all solid organ malignancies, and has particular interests in breast cancer, melanoma and cancers of the genitourinary tract.
