Dr Katy Simpson grew up in Scotland and completed her medical degree at the University of Edinburgh before moving to London to train as a GP at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust.
Along the way she has worked in the Accident and Emergency department of St Thomas’ Hospital in London, and the Evelina London Children’s hospital. After completing her GP training she has worked in a busy inner-city practice in London before moving to Melbourne.
Katy enjoys all aspects of general practice, but has a particular interest in women’s health, sexual health and contraception. She has completed a diploma in Reproductive and Sexual Health in London.
Katy spends her spare time running, cycling and sketching. She’s enjoying the Australian weather (a slight improvement on the Scottish climate), but did not enjoy seeing her first huntsman spider. She’s looking forward to sampling the famous food and coffee Melbourne has to offer.
