Dr Williamson completed Medicine at The University of Sydney in 2005, training at Royal North Shore Hospital. She then underwent further post graduate placements in the rural towns of Murwillumbah and Broken Hill, with the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Dr Williamson has a keen interest in rural general practice, cosmetic medicine, nutritional and environmental medicine. She is a VMO at Mudgee Hospital performing casualty and general medicine roles.
