Dr Kathryn Mainstone has spent seven years in hospital positions in Queensland, including registrar positions in paediatrics, general medicine and psychiatry. She completed her obstetrics and gynaecology training for general practice at Addenbrookes and the Rosie Maternity Hospital in Cambridge, UK, then worked as a GP in central Cambridge. She undertook Australian GP training in Toowoomba then worked as a solo medical superintendent at Mt Morgan Hospital for two years. The next decade was spent as a rural GP in Goondiwindi before she returned to Brisbane and joined Market St Medical Practice. She enjoys all aspects of general practice but has a special interest in women’s health, paediatrics and psychiatry.
