Karryn is a psychiatrist with more than twenty years experience working in public and private mental health settings. She obtained her degree from the University of Sydney and completed her training at Royal North Shore Hospital and Community Services. She has worked in private practice since 1998. Her areas of interest include the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, relationship therapy and psychotherapy. Karryn has a special interest in prenatal and postnatal disorders and she sees mothers (and fathers) with their babies. She has been a member of the Perinatal and Infant Psychiatry Interest Group , a professional development forum for psychiatrists, since 2006. Karryn has worked for the Department of Health as a member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal for nine years. More recently she was appointed to the Medical Council of NSW and is involved in reviewing medical practitioners with mental health and substance use issues.
