Dr Karen Wade graduated in Medicine from Melbourne University in 1983. She then went on to specialise as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at The Royal Women's Hospital, obtaining the highest award possible following the Fellowship exam, the F J Browne gold medal.
Moving to Geelong Dr Wade, worked as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at both Barwon Health Public Hospital and private practice at St John of God Geelong Hospital.
Dr Wade now runs a gynaecological practice with special expertise including advanced laparoscopic procedures, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, vaginal surgery including vaginal hysterectomy and repair procedures for prolapse, vaginal vault sacrospinous colpopexy procedures, experienced colposcopic evaluation for abnormal pap smears, infertility, contraceptive advice and intra-uterine contraceptive office procedures, bladder incontinence and general gynaecological concerns.
Dr Wade has special interest in Diabetes during pregnancy, as well as menopausal issues, hysteroscopy and treating women often of diverse cultural backgrounds with gynaecological advice.
