Rehabilitation Medicine entails the management of disability, not just physical but also cognitive and psychological with a holistic approach on improving functional outcomes, whether that be to return to walking, return to driving, return to work or for leisure and other meaningful entities.
After graduation from the prestigious Grant Medical College and completing his basic and advanced Physician training in India, he migrated to Australia in 2003. Thereafter he underwent advanced training in Rehabilitation Medicine in a variety of accredited posts in teaching hospitals in Southern, Eastern, Alfred and finally Peninsula Health. This encompassed the full range of rehabilitation programs of Neuro, Ortho, Cardiac, Amputee, Spinal and Brain Injury (ABI) as well as Chronic Pain and Reconditioning at various institutions especially in South-East Melbourne and the City.
This is the experience and expertise that he would be able to offer patients on the Mornington Peninsula in a private sector setting, for General Practitioners and fellow Specialists in other disciplines, e.g. Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology and Gastroenterology etc. Following an assessment, a comprehensive rehabilitation plan will be formulated and sent back to the referring practitioner.
