Dr Justin Sherwin is an ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon. His clinical ophthalmology training was undertaken at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne and sub-specialist training in cataract and glaucoma surgery in Oxford, UK. He has a strong academic and research background, and holds three higher degrees from the University of Cambridge, UK (Master of Epidemiology, Master of Surgery and PhD).
He has a special interest in cataract surgery and performs refractive lens exchange for eyes without cataract and uses the latest technology including multifocal intraocular lenses where appropriate. He manages glaucoma using medical, laser and surgical approaches including minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). He also has extensive experience in pterygium surgery, retinal conditions (including using intravitreal injections for macular degeneration, diabetic macular oedema and retinal vein occlusion) and treating general ophthalmology problems.
