Dr Julie Bradley graduated from the University of Adelaide, MBBS with Distinction in 1978. Her basic physician training was completed at Flinders Medical Centre with advanced training cardiology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Julie obtained her FRACP in 1985 to become Adelaide's first female cardiologist. Her FCSANZ was awarded in 2005.

In 1986 Julie was at the Brompton Hospital in London studying Doppler echocardiography. Although Julie practices general cardiology her special interest remains in echocardiography including transthoracic, transoesophageal, intraoperative transoesophageal and exercise stress echocardiography together with women's heart health issues.

Julie was appointed Senior Staff Specialist Cardiologist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 1988 and continues in this role. She is also involved in research and teaching commitments
