Dr. Jules Catt is an Interventional Radiologist at Prince of Wales Public and Private Hospitals and Liverpool Hospital in Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology and certified by the European Board of Interventional Radiology. He specialises in minimally invasive image guided procedures and has a particular interest in the fields of venous disease, interventional oncology and embolisation therapies. Significant areas of practice include woman's health conditions such as pelvic pain and pelvic congestion syndrome, a condition in which he has a particular interest. He specialises in the treatment of pelvic congestion syndrome and other venous disorders through minimally invasive endovacular treatment options. He is an Australian leader in prostate artery embolisation and together with Dr. Glen Schlaphoff has developed one of the largest PAE case series in the Asia-Pacific region. He is helping to advance this important field through his work as a prostate artery embolisation proctor and academic lecturer and as co-host of the Interventional Radiology Society of Australia PAE Workshop. He is a passionate advocate for patients and the wider healthcare system. Beyond medical specialisation, his training includes a Masters in Public Health from Sydney University and the Graduate Program on Global Policy and Governance at Duke University in the United States. He is experienced in national health policy as Director and Councillor of the Australian Medical Council and involvement with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists as Faculty Councillor and various educational committees over many years.
