Judith is a Sport and Exercise Physician who has extensive experience in both Australia and New Zealand. >From 2001 to 2009 she worked in private practice in Canberra where she was also consultant to ACTAS and ADFA. She was medical director for Triathlon Australia from 2003 to 2009. She attended the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympics and several world championships with the triathlon team. In 2010 she returned to Tauranga in NZ where she worked in private practice and was also a consultant to High Performance NZ. From 2010 to 2016 she was medical director for Triathlon NZ. She attended the 2016 Rio Olympics as a NZ team doctor. Judith has also had experience with a number of other sports including AFL, rugby sevens, rugby league, hockey, cycling and athletics. Judith has been a particular interest in endurance sport and womens health. She has previously worked for Otago University providing teaching in “Womens issues in sport” for their Sports Medicine Diploma. She has also published research on wrist injuries and kayaking. She has competed internationally in Mountain running, and has been a 2 x Australian Mountain running champion. She has also won NSW and ACT road cycling championships.
