Dr Joe Ng is a Specialist Anaesthetist and Emergency Physician, based in Perth’s Northern Suburbs.
His primary medical qualification is through the University of Western Australia, from which he graduated with Honours in 2001. His subsequent medical training, with an emphasis in critical care, was predominantly at Royal Perth Hospital. After completing the specialist training programme for anaesthesia, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2010. Following this, he completed post-fellowship training in Emergency and Retrieval Medicine, and was further admitted as a Fellow of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine in 2013.
Dr Ng has particular interests in critical care and resuscitation, and is active in undergraduate and postgraduate education. He continues to practice emergency medicine alongside his regular anaesthetic practice. His public anaesthetic practice is through Osborne Park Hospital. His private anaesthetic practice, through Evolve Anaesthesia, includes orthopaedics, obstetrics, ENT, gastroenterology, endocrine and general surgery. He is a visiting specialist to most Perth private hospitals.
