Dr Joseph Assad is a consultant cardiologist with an interest in heart rhythm disorders, cardiac devices and heart failure. He completed his medical degree at Western Sydney University and Cardiology Training at Liverpool Hospital followed by a sub-specialty Fellowship in Electrophysiology and Pacing. He has a Masters of Internal Medicine from the University of Edinburgh and is currently completing a PhD at UNSW where he is exploring the role of remote monitoring in the management of heart failure. He is involved in teaching and mentorship of junior doctors and medical students and is a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at Western Sydney University and the University of New South Wales.
Joseph sees patients with all cardiac conditions with a particular focus on: • Heart rhythm disorders • Chest pain and coronary artery disease • Shortness of breath and heart failure • Preventative health and risk factor modification • Pre-operative cardiac risk assessment
