Dr Miller has been a General Practitioner at Taringa 7 Day Medical Practice for the past 20 years. He studied medicine at Witwatersrand University, in South Africa, and did post graduate study in Family medicine in Durban, South Africa. Dr Miller was a GP in Durban for 10 years until he migrated with his family to Australia in 1991.

Dr Millers first job in Australia was as an Emergency Medical Officer at Orange Base Hospital, NSW. He also spent time in Emergency Medicine at Ipswich Hospital before commencing full time practice at Taringa, where he now has a large family practice and a great relationship with many long-standing patients – in some situations, four generations within the same family.

For the past 11 years, Dr Miller has volunteered medical services to the children’s charity- Variety (QLD) and he participates annually in their fundraising Bash, providing medical support to their many participants. It is a cause close to his heart and one that Dr Miller enjoys immensely. It enables him to travel to far-flung places within Australia, and experience a different side of life here.

Dr Miller also provides annual assistance as a medical volunteer to Rotary, Mt Ommaney in their fun run and was the recipient of the Rotary Club of Toowong’s excellence in Vocational Service Award 2011.
