Dr Monagle gained his MBBS from Monash University in 1987. He is a locally trained Anaesthetist with an interest in Pain Management. He did much of his anaesthesia training locally in Dandenong, and gained his FANZCA Diploma in 1995.
Currently, Dr Monagle is Director of Monash Anaesthesia and Pain Management within Southern Health. He is also part of the Southern Health Pain Medicine Unit and has been involved in acute and chronic pain services for over 10 years.
Dr Monagle’s practice includes all adult chronic or persistent pain presentations. Management options range from working with patients and their GPs to coordinate a multidisciplinary approach to pain management as well as interventional pain management.
Dr Monagle is a member of a number of relevant organisations, including the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), the International Spine Intervention Society (ISIS) and the World Institute of Pain and undertakes ongoing training and education in pain management.
Dr Monagle consults all day alternate Fridays.
