Dr John saw firsthand the effectiveness of chiropractic when his father was under care for low back pain. He had accompanied his father to several doctor’s offices, trying everything possible to find relief, including three failed surgeries. Dr John saw his father suffering and thought that there must be a better way. Going to the chiropractor was the only thing that helped his father feel better though he still lives with pain today.
It wasn’t until later in life, however, that Dr John decided to become a chiropractor. He had worked in operations management for over a decade, spending a lot of time in his office and coming home feeling exhausted. Dr John realised he didn’t want to continue along the same path for another 30 years. He started thinking about chiropractic again and knew he wanted a life where he felt fulfilled, helping other people and making changes in their lives. An Education in Natural Health
Dr John attended Macquarie University to receive his Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Master of Chiropractic degrees. While there, he learned about the wide range of conditions chiropractic can help and studied anatomy, physiology, neurology and diagnosis, the combination of which sets chiropractors apart from other practitioners.
Dr John applies the business management skills he gained during his years in logistics to his practice today. He understands the stresses placed on individuals in today’s work environment and once suffered from headaches, posture problems, neck pain and TMJ himself. Dr John has completed further post-graduate qualifications in dry needling, an effective treatment for chronic pain of neuropathic origin with very few side effects. He has been accredited by WorkCover to treat injured workers so that they can achieve a safe and durable recovery at work. Third-party insurance motor vehicle accidents are also treated under these qualifications. He is also a member of the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia and Chiropractic Australia.
