Dr John Hansen has worked on the Sunshine Coast as a General and Colorectal Surgeon for 17 years. He was previously the Director of Surgery at Nambour General Hospital and has been in private practice since 2002.
His special interests are Colorectal Surgery particularly laparoscopic colorectal resections.
In addition to clinical surgery, Dr Hansen has a particular interest in surgical training and has been the chair of General Surgical training in Queensland for 4 years. He is currently an examiner in General Surgery with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
Outside of medicine Dr Hansen is a keen cyclist, runner, enjoys snow skiing and loves the Sunshine Coast lifestyle.
