Dr. Joanne Newton graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1986. After completing her intern year, she moved to Scotland where she worked for the following five years. In Edinburgh she obtained her Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (M.R.C.G.P) and Diploma in Community Child Health (D.C.C.H.). She completed a Family Planning Certificate with Family Planning Victoria in 2001.
Dr. Newton also works at Frankston Hospital where she is the GP Liaison Consultant. She is involved in teaching medical students there at the new Peninsula Clinical School. Dr. Newton also works on the Continuing Medical Education Committee at Peninsula GP Network.
